Who can sign up HelloVoice service?
- Any HK mobile phone users can sign up HelloVoice service.
What can HelloVoice do for me?
- It answers your phone when you are busy so that you can retrieve fax messages later from the web.
- It receives your fax privately so that you can view it on the web.
What can I do on my HelloVoice number ?
- Receive faxes privately.
- Send fax to other HelloVoice subscribers.
What can I do on a Web browser?
- Display a summary of all messages in the mailbox.
- Click on icons for each message: fax.
- View fax messages with no special plug-in program.
- Send or forward fax messages to any HelloVoice subscriber.
- Auto Forward any fax message as an attachment to any email destination.
- Manage your HelloVoice mailbox profile.
If my home telephone or business telephone is busy or ring-no-answer, can these calls be answered by HelloVoice?
- Yes. You can activate the Busy/Ring-No-Answer call forwarding feature and set the forwarding telephone number to your HelloVoice number. You can forward all your phones to your HelloVoice number , like your fax number.
 
How do I pick up my fax from my HelloVoice mailbox?
- You can login to your HelloVoice mailbox from any web browser and view your fax online. Just visit fax.HelloVoice.com and login.
 
How do I know I have messages?
- HelloVoice will call you and ring your mobile phone once when you have messages. By default, your notitying schedule is set from 9:00 AM to 12:00 AM. If someone leaves you a message at 1:00 AM, you will not be notified until the next day at 9:00 AM.
Can I modify my notification schedule?
- Yes. To change your notification schedule from the phone, after you login your mailbox, press <3> for Mailbox Options, then press <4> for Outcalling Schedule.
- From the web, after you login your mailbox, click User Profile and then click Telephone Outcalling.
Would I be alerted again if I miss the message notification the first time?
- Yes. HelloVoice will continue to ring your mobile phone every hour until you login your mailbox and retrieve your new message.
How can I change my password?
- You can change your password using either a phone or a browser.
- When you use your mobile phone, call 3005 8888. Select the option 3 to change your mailbox profile. Then select the option 2 to change your password. Your password must be at least 4 digits in length.
- When you use a browser, login your mailbox. Click on the button User Profile. Type your existing password and the new password twice to authorize the change.
Can I change my mobile phone number after I register?
- You can dial to 3005 8888 to our customer support to ask for modification procedure.
 
I cannot remember my HelloVoice number. What should I do?
- Don't worry! Just call from your mobile phone to 3005 8888. When you hear the main menu, follow the prompts or enter <9> to hear an announcement about your HelloVoice number.
Can I keep my messages permanently?

Our system will not delete your incoming messages except you press "delete" button and those message(s) will go to your Trash folder. If you want to keep the message again, please login your mailbox and save the message back. Otherwise, our system will delete your message in Trash folder after 14 days. Please remember to save it back after retrieval if needed.

Those message in your Inbox and saved folder will keep permanently and it will count on your mailbox capacity. If your mailbox is full, our system will not help you to receive any new message. Please ensure your mailbox is not full and available to receive incoming message.

How can I pay for my subscription?
- If you want to pay for our service, you just login on web and click the "Payment" button on the left hand corner. Then, you will be instructed to input your credit card information online.
- Or you can dial to 3005 8888 to our customer support to ask for credit card authorization form or latest payment method. Then, you can choose anyone of payment method is ok such as cheque, bank-in method,etc. Please remember to fax the slip back to 3005 8151 for confirmation your identity.

How can i login my mailbox to get my message?
- You can dial to 3005 8888 and choose "select langauge", then press # to login. You will be asked to input your HelloVoice number and password here.
- You can go to www.hellovoice.com, input your HelloVoice number and password and click "Go" button.
How can i login my mailbox to get my message if i have applied more than one account?
- You can dial 133 then 3005 8888 and choose "select langauge", then press # to login. You will be asked to input your HelloVoice number and password here.
- You can go to www.hellovoice.com, input your HelloVoice number and password and click "Go" button.

How to login my mailbox?
- You can dial to 3005 8888 and choose "select langauge", then press # to login. You will be asked to input your HelloVoice number and password here.
- You can use your registered mobile to dial to 3005 8888. Then, you can login directly.

How to listen the time stamp of Fax ?
- Press " 0 " to listen to the time stamp after you retreive the Fax message.
- If you have problem, please call 3005 8888 and press " 8 " to talk with our customer service representative.
I am unable to view fax automatically when I click on it.
- The fax is only can be sent to Hellovoice subscriber. Otherwise, those messages can not sent out to non-subscribers.

Fax FAQ

Why i cannot view fax when i press the key?
- You may need to install some software to assist you to view fax while you are using browser to connect internet. Please refer to the user menu to know how to install similiar software for the MIME files.
Why the computer seems waiting too long when i press the fax logo of my mailbox after login through web?
- HelloVoice is using the Imaging on Window to open the *.tiff files. You no need to install any special program to open. If you find that the fax cannot be opened on web, please check the following steps and see you have imaging program or not?
- Press [Start] on the left hand corner
- -> Choose [Program]
- -> Choose [Accessories]
- Then, check there is "Imaging" or not?
- If yes, please double click on it and see it can open or not. If not, this means your imaging program cannot work propertly.
   
- Then, you can start to install it back is ok, this must need the CD Rom of Windows. So, please prepare the disk before your installation.
- Press [Start] on the left hand corner
- -> Choose [Setting]
- -> Choose [Control Panel]
- -> Choose [Add/Remove Program]]
- -> Choose [Windows Set Up]
- -> Choose [Accessories]
- -> Choose [Imaging], it's around 4.5Mb to install is ok
   
- If the fax cannot opened because of you have installed other software such as Winfax, QuickTime, which the fax cannot opened automatically. Please save the fax on the desktop and use imaging to open it.
- If you have problem, please call 3005 8888and press " 8 " to talk with our customer service representative.

 

Technical FAQ

What is the minimum configuration of my computer to use HelloVoice services?
- You need a computer with operating system such as Windows 95 (OSR2), Windows 98 and Windows NT 4.0. You need to install a browser such as Internet Explorer or Netscape, version 4.0 or higher. It should be a multimedia computer for you to listen to voice messages.
I am unable to view fax automatically when I click on it.
- You need to configure a fax viewer software in your browser as an external helper application. Refer to the manual of your browser software on how to configure on external application as a helper application for MIME type files.
What special configuration do I make for my browser?
- In most cases there is no need to configure your browser. However, we advise you not to cache their pages permanently. Specifically.
- For Netscape Communicator:

  • Edit -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Cache .
  • Document in cache is compared to document on network.
  • Please do not check the "Never" option.
- For Internet Explorer:
-
  • Tools -> Internet Options -> General -> Temporary internet files -> Settings .
  • Check for newer versions of stored pages.
  • Please do not check the "Never" or "Automatic" option.
- These settings will ensure accuracy of information on your web mailbox interface.
Whom do I contact if I have technical problems?
- You can send an email to support@hellovoice.com. Please state clearly your HelloVoice number, your name and the problem. Our support staff will respond within 24 hours. You can also contact our support by phone. Just call 3005 8888and press "8 ".
How do I view my fax or voice messages if I am running on QuickTime (for version 4.0)?
- After you have installed the QuickTime software, go to Control Panel -> QuickTime -> Browser Plugin -> MIME Settings.
- Then uncheck these options:
 
* WAV Audio wav audio/wav
* WAV Audio wav audio/x-wav
* TIFF Image tif, tiff image/tiff
* TIFF Image tif, tiff image/x-tiff

How do I view my fax or voice messages if I am running on QuickTime (for version 5.0.2)?
- After you have installed the QuickTime software, go to Control Panel -> QuickTime -> Browser Plugin -> MIME Settings.
- Then uncheck these options:
- Go to "Audio", Press "+"once, then, "+"will go to "-"
- Then, find the following options and click "+" once and change "+" to "space"(none)
  * WAV Audio File
  * Sound definer II File
- Go to "Images", Press "+"once, then, "+"will go to "-"
- Then, find the following options and click "+" once and change "+" to "space"(none)
  * BMP Image File
  * TIFF Image tif
- After you set it correctly, please save this setting. Otherwise, please cancel it and reset it once again.

Which software i need to install to view my fax document?

Client no need to install any special software to view their fax (*.tif format) in normal situation.

It is because Internet Explorer will use default software to open fax document (*.tif) under Windows Platform automatically.

Windows 98 / 2000 / Me : Imaging
(Can be found in Start -> Program -> Accessories -> Imaging )

Windows XP : Windows Picture / Fax Viewer / Imaging

- Of course. There are many softwares in the market can open fax document (*.tif). However, users may face fax viewing problem e.g. fax content is not same as original one or only can view 1st page if received more than 1 page,etc.
- If user face the above problems or cannot find default fax viewing program in their windows platform. We suggest user can go to the following web site http://alternatiff.com to install AlternaTIFF software to open their fax document (*.tif).

How do I protect my privacy?
- For your security, make sure you click Exit from the side menu tool bar before you exit the browser.
- Next you need to clear cache from your web browser.
- If you are using Internet Explorer, go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Temporary Internet Files -> Delete Files.
- If you are using Netscape, go to Edit -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Cache -> Click "Clear Memory Cache" and "Clear Disk Cache".

 

Service Plan FAQ

What is the maximum capacity of my mailbox?
- Fax Plan: 10 Mb ( Each fax can receive around 20-25 pages)
- Executive Plan: 15 Mb
  (1 Mb is around 10 records of 1 min voice messages or 20 fax pages)
How can i change the plan of my mailbox?
- If you want to change plan, please call 3005 8888and press " 8 " to talk with our customer service representative.
